Divided we fall.
When Barack Obama won the Democratic nomination for presidency, God began enlightening my spiritual eyes to see the hate, discord and racism that was being fueled by Church leaders. It was heartbreaking. TV evangelists that I had grown to respect and be fed from were becoming uncovered. They were calling Obama the anti-Christ which was so hypocritical as the tactics that they themselves were using were very much in opposition to the love of Christ. I had Facebook friends who were old enough to be my grandmother whom I had grown to value and respect until Obama won the election. Over the course of his eight years in office, the veils were slowly being pulled off of those sweet, loving, Scripture posting grannies who loved all people until a Black man was placed in a position of authority over them. They were evil and were using the fact that Obama was a Democrat to justify hatred in their hearts. Let me tell you something; there is no such thing as the Christian political party. Although the values of the Republican party most line up with biblical principles, the individuals who make up the party are still just men; it doesn't mean that they are Christians. Take Donald Trump, for example. If bully were a picture, I'm sure that his face would be the image used to illustrate it. I'd be willing to place my head on a chopping board and bet that if he were challenged to correctly quote three Bible scriptures on the fly, that he'd fail and I'd still have my head. And now we have Biden. The Democratic party Robinhood who creates debt in order to keep the poor in bondage while he takes from the rich to pay it back. The liar who is sowing discord, strife and confusion between the very people whom he swore to unify after the attack on Capital Hill. A pandemic that did not originate in the United States is now, according to our POTUS, the pandemic of the unvaccinated. His lie and his bullying tactics to push his vaccine mandate have stirred up more division, fighting and hate within our borders. For as long as this nation has been, there has and always will be White vs Black and Republican vs Democrat; now it's the Vaccinated vs the Unvaccinated.
America has fallen. And since we're already face-down, we need to repent.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NASB says, "If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
I know that you've seen these Scriptures floating around the internet on social media posts a lot more recently. People are beginning to open up their minds to the idea that just maybe what God was saying to Solomon was for then and for now. Perhaps you've even quoted these verses yourself but do you really understand what God is saying here? Who are the 'My people' whom He speaks of? What is the promise and what are the prerequisites in order for the promise to take effect? First, God is calling upon the Church; those who are called by His Name. He is calling on those who are within the House of God to 1) humble themselves- God hates pride and warns that it is the reason why many fall, 2) pray- pray His Word back to Him, all of His promises are yes and amen meaning they are tried and true and will not fail nor return to Him void, 3) seek His face- ask Him to meet you where you are; ask for His presence and 4) turn, or repent, from your wicked ways - ask for forgiveness with a clean heart and do not allow sin to take you back to the position from which you have turned from. And then He will 1) hear from heaven - humility and repentance puts you back in God's favor, now He's willing to listen to you. 2) forgive your sin and 3) heal your land- no matter how many Americans agree to be vaccinated, the only cure for coronavirus and of it's variants is Jehovah Rapha.
If Biden wants every American to be responsible and to do their part to end this pandemic, this is what he should be proposing. He should be calling upon leaders in the Church to fast and pray. This is the only saving grace that we have. This is the way that we win and stand. United.
Truth!!! Amen!!!
Amen!!!!!
