Okay, so I'm one of those goofy people who can watch a good T.V. series over and over again without ever getting tired of watching the same episodes. Survivor's Remorse...Queen of the South...Girlfriends...and one of my classic favorites, Good Times are some that I I can watch and respond to them as if I've never seen them before. I know you're probably thinking why in the world would anyone do that, especially with so many other new shows to explore? I have two reasons: 1) I'm a writer so I can appreciate a well-written script and 2) Although I've seen the episodes over and over, each time I watch I pick up on something that I didn't catch the previous times. The same holds true for me with books. I love to read a good book that I can learn and grow from. I have books that I've read at least five or six times and just like the T.V. shows, each time I reread those books I take in something that I missed the previous times. Yesterday as I was getting ready for my day, I picked up my Bible to read and opened it up to a very familiar passage of Scripture that you'll hear me talk about repeatedly; Proverbs 31. Over the years, I have read and studied this more times than I can count but yesterday I pulled something from the description of this Good Thing that had never stood out to me the way that it did this time. If you recall, this is written from a mother to her son, whom Bible scholars believe was King Solomon. In the beginning, she gives him some strong advice and some warnings and then she transitions into a very thorough illustration of what kind of wife would be fit for her son, a king; a man of high value. I already knew that this woman is a bad, bad chic. I mean she's bossing in every area of her life and maximizing her potential to the full! She's smart, savvy, courageous, a supportive and submissive wife, trains her children well and she's a money maker. Like you, I knew this already but yesterday as I read this I had multiple light bulbs coming on in my head at the same time. Have you ever wondered why this narrative of the Virtuous Woman closes out the book of Proverbs? If you have never read and studied the entire book of Proverbs, I strongly encourage you to do so. The Virtuous Woman is a woman full of Godly wisdom. In other words, she is full of the first 30 chapters. Also, of the 22 verses that break down her character traits, the majority are about money and how she turned purpose into prosperity. This is the light that came on that set me on fire and took my breath away at the same time.

Sidenote: I know some of you are waiting for a good man to sweep you off of your feet and take care of you until death do you part but that's not what God intended. And because you're being lackadaisical about knowing and being who He purposed you to be, you're going to attract exactly what you are. The mother who wrote this to her son didn't want him bringing in a lazy, shallow and vain woman into their kingdom and lineage. Don't believe me? Stick around and I'll prove it to you through the Scriptures.
